Dr. Justin Flinner, DAc, LAc, DiplAc
Licensed & Board-Certified Acupuncturist — University Professor — U.S. National Champion
Dr. Justin Flinner is a Board-Certified and Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Virginia and a faculty member at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine (VUIM) located in Vienna, VA near Tysons Corner teaching in the Masters programs of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH). In 2013, Dr. Flinner opened My Metro Medicine in Washington, DC near the White House at Farragut Square. In 2020, he moved the company to Northern Virginia to be closer to home. Dr. Flinner is also a successful martial artist practicing and teaching for over 25 years including winning two U.S. National Championship titles, a Men's Grand Champion title, and multiple gold medals at various competitions in the northeast. Currently, he teaches Tai Chi and Qi Gong at VUIM and instructs privately across the Washington, DC metropolitan area and online to students across the world.
Dr. Flinner's education includes receiving his Doctor of Acupuncture in from VUIM, his Masters in Acupuncture from MUIH, and his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Rehabilitative Sciences from Slippery Rock University. Dr. Flinner has always been at the forefront of the healthcare industry. For more than 15 years, he has delivered seminars and taught courses to thousands of people across the metropolitan area, including the NMAC & USCA Summit in 2019, U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Education, International Monetary Fund, The World Bank, the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
He is the husband of an extraordinary wife and the father of two amazing children who all give him a reason to smile and live life to its fullest everyday. He has lived in China, traveled throughout South Korea, enjoys learning languages, has a passion for teaching, enjoys a good cup of coffee, and loves playing the piano.
